It’s over.., the Maine Dems Convention that is; so, what do we know now?  Not much more, that’s for sure.    Libby Mitchell, or Auntie Libby as I call her, says she created x amount of jobs because she came up with an idea to have a jobs bond.., which we haven’t voted on yet.  So, she will only have created these jobs if we vote to pass the bill which of course we will because Maine voters are amongst the dumbest in the nation.  Steve Rowe has no more magnetism today then he did before the  convention and that will never change.  You get the feeling Rowe could witness an exorcism and still not show any emotion (any ideas on who we should exorcise?)  Rosa Scarcelli had no more stories of her childhood ability to run a business other than her tired old “I ran my mother’s sweater shop when I was 16″ story.  I hoped there would be a new one about Rosa’s ability to change the points and plugs on her car when she was 17 or how she really did grow up in Wilton.  I’ve been to Wilton, not many like Rosa up there!  That leaves us with Pat McGowan, the only true Mainer in the field.  I’d take him if all the other candidates died but only because he’s Ken’s guy and you all know what’s good enough for Ken is good enough for me.  Go Paul LePage!

They’re at it again, those classy “women” showing their ta tas in public.  You know, Andrea Simoneau and her dolt friends who think they’re making some sort of socially altering statement by taking off their shirts in public for women’s.  Bottom line for me.., go ahead girls, show your girls if you want but these women lack class, and semblance of brains and are making fools of themselves.  Classy, healthy women laugh at this stuff and so don’t I!

John Richardson we hardly knew ye!  He’s out because of  “mistakes” by campaign workers in gathering signatures and checks for his clean election run.  Don’t you love how politicians committ “mistakes” when they’re crimes in our eyes?  They do have a way with words, now don’t they?  A mediocre candidate lessens a field of D’s now to 4.  He had no shot anyway and his small amount of support will get spread out to Mitchell, Rowe, McGowan and Scarcelli.  Speaking of Rosa.., can you say Drama Queen?  As in Dennis Bailey?  The Drama Queen is Rosa’s PR mouthpiece and her call for an “independent investigation” has Mr. Casinos No written all over it.  Please, an attempt by a candidate who’s not getting it done to get some free pub and yes, we gave it to her this morning.  Not my call or Ken’s to have her on but I went after her, with justification in my mind.  Hear it at 560wgan.com for yourself.  I hate clean elections but in this case, that silly system worked and Richardson is out.  We need to scrap this boondoggle now!

Well, the lemming Democratic candidates for Governor have taken a united stand.., against Kim Block!  Yup, that’s right.., cute, sweet Kim Block and the rest of her bad colleagues at Ch. 13.  Well, not her and them specifically but their mean old bosses because the tech. people at 13 are working without a contract and in the world of Democrats that’s not only bad but it’s their business too.  Once again, great independent thinking by Democrats, huh?  Couldn’t just one of them step up and say, no to joining this publicity seeking stunt?  No, because that would p*** off their march in step labor support.  What a dumb thing to do and what a bunch of lemmings!

Happy Earth Day Kids!  It’s the 40th anniversary of Earth Day today.., so what does it all mean?  The “Green cause” has lost some luster to me because of the extremists involved.  I am green, I recycle, I try to do what is reasonable about recycling.  The wackos in the Green movement, those who don’t want windmills in their backyard, those who oppose the Plum Creek development, etc. are hurting the cause.  It may not be nice to fool Mother Nature, as the old Chiffon commercial says, but now if you consider who the nutty Greens are, it’s what you want to do.  Do what you can for the environment but can we be reasonable about it?

It’ll be the standoff at the Preble St. parking lot this Saturday as advocates of open carry guns and those opposed “get together”.  Of course, I’m fine with open carry and frankly Ken is as well as he’d rather absolutely know you’re carrying as opposed to just wondering if you are!  Of course Part 2.., Ken would prefer that no one have guns in the first place, concealed, open carry, in a National Park, whenever, wherever, whatever!  Hey, Kumar was just robbed on the way to White Castle in DC., if he’d had a gun, he would have gotten his sliders!

As we all know, Ken is irrational, no?  But what makes him really irrational?  Guns!  Of any type, size, concealed or holstered!  If he had his way, none of us would ever be able to have a gun.  No hunting, no target shooting, no protection for anyone.  Just the bad guys having guns, that’s it.  I don’t own one at the moment and I am a supporter of background checks but I think everyone should have a gun if they want one.  I’ve encouraged my 25 yr. old single daughter to carry in Boston.  She hasn’t “given in” to me yet on this but I’ll keep working it.  Ken’s own wife wants to get a gun, perhaps he’s afraid she’ll shoot him!

So Bubba sounded off about the Tea Partiers over the weekend and he’s now afraid Rush Limbaugh is going to incite violence through his words.  Please Mr. President, go back to your quiet life in Massapequa and holding Hilary’s coat!  You can’t account for crazy Mr. President, Rush or not.
